Port Vale Foundation lodge plans for £2.3m Sproson Park community campus
Port Vale Foundation lodge plans for £2.3m Sproson Park community campus Proposals include upgraded youth football pitches, floodlit padel courts, a multi-use games area, improved walking routes, lighting, CCTV and signage, alongside a new central community hub operated by the Port Vale Foundation.
The hub is intended to provide a base for community groups and activities supporting health, education, wellbeing and social connection, while keeping Sproson Park open and accessible to the public.
Plans also feature a play area, meeting space and facilities for refreshments, with sustainable construction and ecological improvements forming part of the wider scheme.
The development is being positioned as more than a sports project, with Port Vale and the council hoping it will contribute to the regeneration of Burslem and create opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to become more active and connected.
