Woman dies after medical emergency at Morrisons in Newcastle-under-Lyme
One woman had sadly died after the Air Ambulance was scrambled to Morrisons Milehouse
A woman has died after suffering a medical emergency at Morrisons on Lower Milehouse Lane in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
Emergency services were called to the store after reports of a medical emergency.
Two ambulances, a paramedic doctor and the air ambulance were sent to the scene.
On arrival, crews found a woman who was in need of urgent medical attention. Ambulance crews immediately began administering advanced life support in an attempt to save her.
Sadly, despite the best efforts of emergency services, the woman could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for the ambulance service said:
“We were called to reports of a medical emergency on Lower Milehouse Lane. On arrival we discovered one patient, a woman. Ambulance crews immediately began administering advanced life support but sadly, despite their best efforts, it became apparent nothing could be done to save her and she was confirmed dead at the scene.”
