Police swoop on Burslem this morning as people arrested in street operation

Police have carried out a major operation in Burslem this morning, with a number of people detained and arrested as officers dealt with suspected drug-related activity and anti-social behaviour.

Officers were seen in the town dealing with several individuals, including people believed to be rough sleepers and drug users. One man was pictured being escorted away by officers during the operation.

The activity comes amid ongoing concerns from residents and businesses about drug use, rough sleeping and anti-social behaviour in parts of Burslem.
