Staffordshire Police confirmed that a 40-year-old man from Stoke-on-Trent has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary as part of an ongoing investigation.
The arrest follows an incident in which police attended an address on Blakelow Road after a vehicle was reported to have been set alight on Tunstall High Street. A man was found inside the property with a number of injuries and was taken to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
Police are continuing their enquiries and are appealing for anyone with doorbell, dashcam or CCTV footage from the area at the time to come forward.
The investigation remains ongoing.
