According to a report received by Six Towns Daily, around five girls believed to be aged between 12 and 14 were standing near the parent's parking area, when an unknown man approached them. It has been claimed that the man spoke to the girls in a language they did not recognise before making gestures with his hands.
At this stage, there is no suggestion that a crime has taken place, and we have not independently verified exactly what was said or intended by the
gestures. We are therefore not identifying the individual or making any assumptions about his background or nationality.
The post is being shared as an awareness reminder for parents and young people.
If children are approached by someone they do not know and feel uncomfortable or threatened, they should move away, stay together and tell a trusted adult.
Any behaviour that appears threatening or concerning should be reported to Staffordshire Police on 101 or if in an emergency dial 999.
