Huge plumes of smoke fill Stoke-on-Trent night sky as fire breaks out at old farm

Huge plumes of smoke were seen filling the Stoke-on-Trent night sky last night after a fire broke out at an old farm in Milton.

Residents reported seeing the blaze off Millrise Road at around 8.40pm, with thick smoke rising high into the sky.

Pictures taken from Baddeley Green showed dramatic plumes of smoke stretching across the skyline towards Hanley.

The fire was understood to have involved a caravan at the old farm in Milton, with the flames and smoke visible from surrounding areas.

The incident caused concern among local residents as smoke could be seen billowing above the rooftops during the evening.
