Stoke City and Hull City have reportedly discussed the possibility of a swap deal as negotiations continue over Sorba Thomas. Hull have already seen a bid worth up to £7 million rejected for the Stoke winger, with the Potters understood to value the Wales international at more than £10 million.

With the two clubs still in contact, discussions over a potential player-plus-cash arrangement could provide a way to bridge the gap in valuations.

Thomas has emerged as a key target for newly promoted Premier League side Hull after an impressive campaign in which he registered 10 goals and 13 assists for Stoke.

The 27-year-old remains under contract until 2028, but reports suggest he is keen on a move to the MKM Stadium.

Stoke manager Mark Robins has acknowledged the interest while stressing that Thomas remains his player, meaning any swap deal would need to satisfy the Potters' valuation as well as Hull's desire to strengthen their attack before the transfer deadline.
