Kidsgrove Street Signs Get a Freshen-Up as Councillor Takes Action on Local TLC

Street signs across Kidsgrove are getting some much-needed TLC, with Councillor Olivia Westcott taking matters into her own hands and cleaning up signs that have started to show their age. More signs are now on her list for attention, but residents are being asked: is there one near you that needs a freshen-up?

Parklands Road, Kidsgrove

Some of Kidsgrove’s tired-looking street signs are getting a little extra attention, with Councillor Olivia Westcott taking matters into her own hands and giving a number of signs a much-needed clean-up.

Cllr Westcott said she had spotted several more signs around Kidsgrove that had “definitely seen better days” and decided to get stuck in, cleaning them up and giving them a fresh coat of paint where needed. She said that while some of the signs are clearly showing their age, a little attention can still make a noticeable difference to the appearance of the area.

The councillor says the work is not finished yet, with several more signs on her list to work through when she can. She is also asking residents to get involved by pointing out signs in their own neighbourhoods that could benefit from some TLC.

The work reflects a wider focus on the small details that can make a difference to how local streets look and feel. Cllr Westcott has previously spoken about improving pride in Kidsgrove and taking practical action on local issues.
